XHTML5

HTML5 is currently under development as the next major revision of the HTML standard. Like its immediate predecessors, HTML 4.01 and XHTML 1.1, HTML5 is a standard for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web. The new standard incorporates features like video playback and drag-and-drop that have been previously dependent on third-party browser plug-ins such as Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight, and Google Gears (from wiki).

At this point, most of the web's largest websites, have already started using this soon to be standard. By using it now, not only can we develop more rich and native websites and applications, but we can also benefit from future proofing your websites. PHP

PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language that was originally designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages. For this purpose, PHP code is embedded into the HTML source document and interpreted by a web server with a PHP processor module, which generates the web page document. As a general-purpose programming language, PHP code is processed by an interpreter application in command-line mode performing desired operating system operations and producing program output on its standard output channel. It may also function as a graphical application. PHP is available as a processor for most modern web servers and as standalone interpreter on most operating systems and computing platforms (from wiki).

Probably the most famous server side language on the internet, PHP is many a developer's choice because it bundles well with the word free! Web servers are free(apache), Database is free (mysql) and php tools are easy to come by for free. That as well as it is a very powerful yet simple language, allowing our developers to deliver top quality solutions, very quickly.

Javascript libraries are there to make our lives easier. And nothing does that better than jquery. Extremely compact, ridiculously powerful and more plugins than we can use in a life time.
